Scent bottle....JBD on base
« on: February 10, 2008, 05:39:57 PM »
Hi, does anyone know the name/maker, for a small scent bottle, bought today at Woking,  with the raised letters, JBD on the base??????   The bottle has small children running around the side, & unfortunately is missing its stopper.
 Regards,  John.

Need a detailed description of marks, letter type, framing etc. Ideally a picture - and of the bottle itself. Watch those children do not break it  ;)

Hello again,  2 pictures added of small scent bottle, JBD on base.
Also pictured is a small cameo paperweight by Paul Brett?  Anyone know about him?
  Thanks for all help,

    John.

Probaly from Austria c1900, but no idea on who maker was. Not listed in Hartmann and a contemporary directory lumps Austria and Hungary together with a scattering of Bohemian too - No obvious relations to initials though.

Now that we have a picture, I think it is possibly Jenny Blair Designs and if so I'm guessing that the so the date would be mid nineties, but the person who will be able to confirm is Ron Wheeler who knows everything you need to know about Jenny Blair's work and quite a lot more besides. So I have emailed the link to him.

It might be a good idea to post your paperweight separately on the paperweight forum  ;)
