Possible Ysart Paperweight Necklace
« on: July 09, 2005, 03:22:15 PM »
Hi All,

I went back today and spent my tenner on the necklace, which was still there :)

The hall mark is for London (lepard head) and the makers mark is CJ. I can't find my hall mark book, but the date letter is "q"(lower case Q) in a sqaure with the corners cut off.

The background is black with 7 white canes surrounding 11 smaller middle canes. I really like it, but have no idea if its the real deal or not.

Hi Ray,

Is that good or bad? I don't know when the jewellery was meant to have been made.

Stone is Paul Ysart

Dates here: http://www.ysartglass.com/PaulYsart/PYP5over.htm

Can you try to get a clearer picture of the pendant for the catalogue please? I do not have the design yet.

Thanks

Hi Frank,

I will try and get a much better picture of the setting and weight for you.

It is really quite a pretty setting with the leaves making it look like a flower, and the canes are lovely.

When I come back off holiday I'll be putting it up for auction, and I will post the auction number.
 :)

Make sure the auction does not clash with 6th/7th August as most bidders will be in Perth then!
