"Friggers" and "Whigmeleeries"
« on: February 28, 2008, 09:45:00 PM »
Hi,
Today I returned to the Museum of London and had a great day with many finds. This 1974 Exhibition  catalogue of the Glass Manufacturers Federation at Reed house,  opens with a mention of a display of Friggers. Interesting to see the Scottish term ' Whigmeleeries '
You will notice Whitefriers have 2 seals ,probably by Boffo. Regards Patrick.
