I have been told that the attached Optic Ribbed Vase may be "Stromberg" however, it has many similarities in feel and weight to other well known manufacturers, which has me really confused.  The vase stands 7" tall and 10 cm's across the brim.  It has four ribs on the inside, weights 663 grams, a clearly defined pontil and the usual wear round the base.  To get the rib effect I had to insert plain white paper and shine a torch down the centre of the vase.  Any other markings round the base are shadow picked up by the flash.  Overall it is quite a sturdy specimen that shows itself off better against the light.

Thanks B, I'm sure I've seen something similar recently in an online shop, just wish I could recall where!  Maybe the bottom will stimulate someone else's memory. :)
