What does the base look like? Is there any signature?

Mmm.. it is matte/mat on the base, right? Try running a damp sponge over the base, something might emerge..it's worth a try  :)

OK, gut feeling here, I don't think it is Swedish although I can almost understand why it would be sold as such.. satin exterior, muted colours etc (UHV, kosta Boda? but it is not UHV, I'm 99.99% certain ) but it lacks a concrete "shape". Eugh, hard to define.. something is missing, Kev.

I was puzzled about this discussion because it does not look in the least bit Swedish to me.  Contemporary Empoli, or Pasabahce, or Chinese perhaps. Not Swedish.

Ivo,
i thought that, hey, but you know how i get things wrong  :hb1:, but looking at the photo of the base,
it looks as if theres a bit of age wear on it?
