Hovmantorp vase information.
« on: March 10, 2008, 10:34:04 AM »
Hi

I recently purchased this vase (sure I have seen one somewhere before but cannot recall) & cannot find any info on the designer.

It is signed H-torp-66 E Söderberg the -piece stands 28cm's tall & is a hefty 3-4Kg the label has gone but the remains of it match the squared off oval shape of the Hovmantop factory. It maybe hard to tell from the photo but the design is a an encased 'net' in grey & black.

Any help with gaining more info on this would be greatly appreciated also any ideas on value would be good! I have the feeling it was a bargain but always nice to have that confirmed.

Many thanks

Added these pics so you can see the wonderful design of this vase.

The signature is just visable if you look very hard  ;)

I have done a quick search through all my books on Swedish glass
and cannot find a reference on either.
