Alsterfors?
« on: March 10, 2008, 10:58:06 PM »
I have seen these described as being made by Alsterfors. Mine is stickered, but it's not a logo I'm familiar with, is it Alsterfors?
The writing on the bottom of the sticker says: "Opaline Suedoise".

Cheers  :)

Hi,
Suédoise is French for Swedish, so your vase is from Sweden. As for the logo, I am not familiar with it, but presume it is an importers label.  :-\
If I know, I'll comment. If I think I know, I'll have a go. If I have no idea, I'll just keep quiet and learn from others, so the next time I'll know.

Thank you :)
I just did a quick search on google to find out alittle more about them(sadly they don't seem to be mentioned in the Miller's glass a-z) and found a website selling an item of theirs that mentions the company name on the sticker itself: http://www.thebestthings.com/antiques/graphics/an20611301.jpg

Thanks again, it's nice to know exactly who made what ;-) :-)
