murano ducks
« on: March 11, 2008, 01:41:45 PM »
I think the first duck is Murano although I am to sure, it is signed by Fratini ? can anyone tell me is it Murano and is it Fratini, the signature is small and hard to read so I can't be sure of the spelling, also a date if poss.

I have no idea about the other Ducks although I think they are Murano for sure and from about the 60s, I would like to know who could have been produced them and if I right in the date. the tall one is purple with a pale blue outer case.

Thankyou

The top duck looks like a Formia duck. You can check this at http://www.formiaglass.it/NewSite_eng/zoo_classic.html. The ducks like yours are toward the bottom of the page. I think these are among the prettiest of the ducks.

I don't know about the other two ducks. I'll leave those to the more experienced duck people.

Good catch, Chuggy. This is a very nice duck. I looked at some of Frattin's other things and I think this is about the nicest thing I saw.

Sue, I wonder if the Vimes is Vines. He did some nice ducks with Mount St. Helen ash. Some of them are very pretty. I have seen a few of them for sale.
