Atelje 76 S. Gellastedt - Sweden ?
« on: May 28, 2006, 10:58:07 AM »
Anyone know anything about this maker ?
Atelje 76 S. Gellastedt - Sweden ?
Example
http://www.tradera.com/auction/Glas/aid_28016085

It's the nearest in style I have found in years of looking to an item of mine.

Atelje = studio ? ...in Swedish ?
Googling has brought forth nothing more than the Tradera link above.

Gellerstedt is a more common spelling and brings forth Swedish artists and architects of various generations. I seem to remember a few years ago the Swedes had a cmpaign to differentiate their surnames.

Stephan Gellerstedt is a graduate of Konstfack in Stockholm. In the
1970's he designed for Pukeberg Glass Works.

After leaving this glass works, set up his own studio on a ship docked
in Southern Stockholm across from Gamla Stan where his work was
featured in a gallery. I visited this studio in 1990.

I have not heard of his art glass since my return to Sweden in 2004.

This bowl reminds me of his style.
