« on: April 08, 2008, 12:40:46 AM »
Piece is two green fish with gold specks in lips, eyes and fins. 10" high and 7"wide. Base is clear. Any help or information would greatly be appreciated.
Thank You

Murano/Italian seems a fair bet, both from the look of the fishes, the gold and the gondola label.
The gondola is a Venetian vessel.

Maybe this should be in the Murano board?

This label has cropped up before - had a search but couldn't track it down. I think it was Venetian or Murano (although imports can sometimes muddy the issue).

The gondola shows on the J.I. imports label which Shannon is researching. I'll move this to Murano and she'll hopefully pick it up and respond. (See also http://gallery.blancoglass.com/main.php)

That is great!  Would you mind if I saved your photos for when I redo the gallery?

This is shown in a Jordan's Importing Company (J.I. Co) 1958 catalog. Item No. 2006. Here's the description from the catalog:

"Double fish. Gold flecked crystal tail and fins shading into rose, blue, green or amethyst body. On large rock crystal base. 10" high."

Can I see a photo of yours from the side, just to double check that it's the same?
Shannon
