yes, that is identical (except for the colour of course, your green is lovely btw!) - are you happy that yours is a Riihimaen not a  lookalike?  I will be happy to go with your view.
Thank you very much!

If I set it next to my clear Aurinkopullo I see no difference in quality. And the Aurinkopullo I know is genuine. So I have no reason to doubt that Emma is OK.

Hi Karle - I find it very hard to think that the eye of the Finnish designers would allow such a top heavy design as the use of the huge square stopper.  The simple cork stopper of a Swedish schnapps bottle would be much more in keeping.

Also, I tend not to go on eBay identification as I know how many things I see with wrong attribution...I prefer to check it out here, but in this case, there seems to be two strains of thought, one that it is good, one that it isn't.  I can't see much difference in quality between this and the Piironki I have, in particular the mould seams at the sides are almost identical, I would certainly expect this to be Riihimaen, except for the casing question.  The Piironki is cased, this Emma bottle isn't.
Thank you very much!

Hiya,

Yes I did have a blue Emma bottle  ;D and the Kaappikello, linked to in the post above, is mine also. These have been described as lamp bases and bottle vases. If you go to http://koti.welho.com/jstromb2/catalo_1.htm you will see that these items are there also, even with the stopper (Stella Polaris bottle).

If I know, I'll comment. If I think I know, I'll have a go. If I have no idea, I'll just keep quiet and learn from others, so the next time I'll know.

I've now come across an Aurinkopullo sun vase decanter- (I threw the stopper away as it was damaged- but again it was just like the Empoli ones)
The decanter is again uncased, and the quality of Rihiimaen just isn't there..
I'm now certain these pieces from the Country House range were copied and made as decanters, and Italy is my best bet.

REVISED : OK- just clicked the link above and seen the evidence
Mine isn't marked 'made In Italy' - but at least my instincts were right LOL
