A Couple of Pieces of Murano From an Auction Need ID's #1
« on: April 16, 2008, 06:25:18 PM »
Pretty footed cased bowl stands 6" tall x 7" in diameter. The label IDs it as Genuine Venetian Glass - My questions: Can this be attributed to a specific maker? How would you describe the applied clear glass decoration applied to the top and bottom rims? Thanks.

I have the same bowl with the same label but without the prunts on the side. I've assumed that it's generic Murano. I know the glass on top and on the bottom has a name, but I can't remember or find the name in a book tonight. A good night's sleep might restore my memory.
