Pale pink lamp base-what is it please?
« on: April 19, 2008, 12:53:56 PM »
Sorry I'm a stranger-had no glass at all lately and been very busy. But now I have some. This is a lamp base that looks like vaseline glass but isn't. Would it be called pearline or what and how old might it be.Thanks Pat.

The chromed fitting may have been replaced but could be thirties, the mount however could be much earlier.

The mount was chrome plated but most has worn off leaving the brass showing.

Yes but it was not chrome used then, a much softer plating or anodising.
