Agree - these are sometimes sold in Murano as well.
Bob Hall in his "World Paperweights: Millefiori and Lampwork" shows a pic taken on a visit to Murano
of many chinese weights being sold as Murano.

Sad state of affairs.

A good clue to nixing a Murano attribution is to look to the base - bases are almost always well polished on 20th Century Murano weights. Antique ones can show pontil marks.

Some of the newest Chinese weights also have polished bases.

The canes and colors in these weights are typically Chinese. The Chinese are getting better. I have seen pieces with cane bundles but on close examination these bundles are made up of typical Chinese canes.
I collect Scottish and Italian paperweights and anything else that strikes my fancy.
