l thought this might be caithness glass when l bought it but theres no caithness stamp mark on base, any ideas appreciated, thanks kieran

Kieran, lots of Caithness isn't marked, so don't let that put you off. Now looking at your later pics the vase has changed colour.... does it do this in different light, e.g. does it go blue under fluorescent or low-energy bulbs and pink in daylight? If so, it's probably
neodymium glass
, which Caithness did use.

Anne your link to neodymium glass was very interesting.
l never noticed before but it is actually blue in daylight
and changes to pink under a light bulb,
