Blue and Uranium Green Sommerso Bowl - is it Seguso?
« on: May 10, 2008, 07:53:52 PM »
I found this little bowl this afternoon at Brackley Antique Cellar.  The Antique Cellar is just that - a cellar - and is therefore entirely lit by artificial light.  Yet this little triangular bowl (5" or 13cm across by 2" or 5cm high), blue encased in green, just said 'uranium' to me.  By the time we got home it was early evening and, sure enough, there was that uranium glow!  :D

Here are a couple of pics, one taken without flash in the early evening light in my conservatory, and the other taken in a black-lined box lit with a UV torch.

Anyone any idea of a maker or even just a place of origin?

I was wondering if this might be by Seguso.  Should it be moved to the Murano board?  Or left here for a while?

Perhaps a moderator could add 'Seguso?' in the title?

Thank you  :kissy:

Experience teaches that anyone who begins to collect in any field can feel a change in his soul. He becomes a joyful man filled with a deeper empathy, and a more open understanding moves his soul.

Please could this be moved to the Murano board now?  I would like Javier to have a look at it, as I think he sold one quite like it recently  :)
