Hi got this one a few weeks back i believe it to be Loetz, but I'm sure there is a expert out there who can give me more info, Very nice iridescent green purple colour, with an applied clear handle. The base has been polished & has a pontil, It stands 9 inches tall, & 6 1.2 in diameter.
Thanks in anticipation

Would Loetz have issued something with CLEAR handle?  Please can you issue a photo of iridescence of your basket? Thank you! ;)

Hi Pamela,
ive just spoken to Dave, he showed me this basket a few weeks ago, and i took a few photos of it,
mines bigger than Daves, ;) so with his permission, heres some more,
I cant find anything quite matching a loetz pattern or finish, but its a nice quality bowl, and
probably early 20th C.
Cheers
Andy

ps Daves near me, in Berkshire UK.

I saw a vase with a similar finish attributed to poschinger a month or so back. Just a thought.

A basket with clear handles shown here,
http://hometown.aol.com/alfavil/page3.html
text a bit confusing, but i think author thinks Kralik or Rindskopf.

Poshinger, maybe  , azelismia, was that on here, i searched , found this interesting thread,on your vase,
is that the one?

No it was on the ebay forum. it was a little pink vase. it had the same pontil including a little nick in the center and that same ruffly look. Warren was the one who pointed it out originally, I think. He'll probably weigh in on this.

Yes Quite pleased with my vase *smug look* it went from the cat zone (mantel) to the behind glass zone last night.

Definitely a similar finish! Date of that one circa 1970s!
Dave, it may not be as old as we thought! Although i think the base on yours points to it
being older.
see if you get some more views from others. Warren, are you there?
I emailed Poschinger re. my little pink jug, and got a helpful reply from Benedikt Poschinger confirming
it was a Jugenstihl (Art Nouveau) piece by them.
Andy

ps dont feel guilty about all this work and research im doing for you ;D

I do feel a bit guilty I've been watching TV all night drinking a bottle of wine with the wife :D
I'm with you on thinking it is older than the 30 years, but it is hard to tell.
