I have an assortment of Scandinavian glass pieces, some signed and labeled, others unknown.  I would like to find someone within 250 miles of Philadelphia, PA / Cherry Hill, NJ that could help me determine  worth and marketability of my pieces.  I am currently unemployed and cannot pay much for this service and need to get some revenue if possible from my pieces to keep my home.  Can anyone help with reference(s) or suggestions???  All ideas will be greatly appreciated!

Auction houses often have free valuation days - might be an idea to see if any local to you that hold specialist decorative art sales have any on their calendar any time soon?

Values are terribly subjective, and highly dependent on geographical location and method of sale (i.e. bricks and mortar auction house, online auction, yard sale, dealing direct with local dealers, selling in an antiques centre will all have varying achievable ceiling prices). As such, many, if not most, of the members on this site will, understandably, shy away from giving values rather than raise any false hopes or be made to feel bad (or morally liable) if their estimates turn out to be too enthusiastic.

as long it is Swedish glass I would gladly put value on any items, especially from Kosta Boda or Orrefors. Even buy them if they are interesting.
First we have to determine if its really artglass or just standard production pieces. Booth have been sold in large quantaties to the states from Sweden, so pics are needed. I myself have worked at booth Orrefors and KB, also purchased-sold-collected for 20 years.

I was an approved appraiser by the Appraisers Association of America with a special interest in Scandinavain glass, especially Orrefors and Kosta Boda prior to moving to Sweden when I did not continue my membership.
The Swedes have different tax laws, etc. and appraisals are not generally used.

Please contact me directly and we can discuss how I can appraise your collection along with the methods used to document each evaluation and how the values were established.

As a preliminary step, please feel free to check my publication "Scandinavian Glass - Creative Energies" for
rough estimates as the values shown are from 2002.

I will not be offering to buy the art glass if you are interested in my appraisal services.
