Got it from Ray Annenberg himself Sue, and had it turned into a pendant by a jeweller friend.  But watch this space.... Ray and my jeweller friend are talking  ;)

Wow, that is cool!  Is there any particular connection between the things shown on the pendant?

Love that jellyfish one, too!

Thanks, Kristi  :)

I think the only connection with the canes Ray used on the pendant is that they are all Whitefriars canes he has in his little jam jar and is using up in jewellery and paperweights in ways which seem aesthetically pleasing to him!  (And to me  ;D )

However, as Patrick points out, the bluebird - which indeed is a real work of art! - was never actually used in a paperweight!  But just imagine bundling those canes together to make the picture  :o The bird!  :D The nest!  :D The little eggs!  :D  What a wonderful piece of art!  And only truly appreciated by us paperweight fiends, it seems to me!  ::)

Many, many thanks again to Ray for doing this  :hiclp:  :kissy:

I'm not a paperweight fiend, but I can appreciate that bluebird on a nest!  The enlargement Patrick posted (how did he do that - enlarge your photo without deterioration of image quality?) shows what an amazing little work of art that is.
