Paperweights on the silver screen
« on: June 05, 2008, 02:51:42 PM »
Has anyone else noticed the nice big Chinese bubble paperweight on the control panel on the Tardis? My daughter spotted it yesterday while watching an episode from the 3rd season of Dr Who. It's set into the panel but it's definitely a paperweight.

I've noticed that when they have paperweights as props in films they go for modern abstracts rather than lampwork or millefiori. I suspect it's because those would not show up well on the screen.

Mods: Feel free to move this if it's too cafe-ish.  ;D
I collect Scottish and Italian paperweights and anything else that strikes my fancy.

Did anyone spot the large bubble dump weight on the Queen's Desk at Balmoral, in "The Queen". Would have expected something a little more 'exclusive'.
