Hi there thanks for getting back to me.I actually thought that it was a float bowl for a figure but not 100%,I have the blue Hollanderin figure stood in it at the moment until I can find her correct bowl! Heres some other pictures of it,I think it might be later than the 30s as the look is different,lovely still! Cheers!

"Wine" pattern bowl from Hermanova Hut, designer unknown, dating to the mid-1950s, not earlier. Catalogues do not show a figurine supplied with this item. Pattern number 19834/220. Particularly popular export to the Middle East.
