I tried to use words from both sides of the Atlantic!

Anyway, this piece arrived today in the mail from Germany.  It is a whimsey/frigger vase, shaped like a boot and is 9 inches tall.  It is also quite heavy and thick.  The heel is all vaseline.  The pink coloration was a small gather of glass, followed by a larger gather of vaseline/uranium glass over the entire pink gather, prior to blowing and shaping.  No mold was used, and it is all 'off-hand' work.  When I saw it, I just had to have it!

I can see why - can't see it winning any awards on the catwalks though  ;D
