Murano sitting dog help on what it is?

Collecting dust  >:D  ;D  Seriously though, perhaps an ashtray. I can't really see if there are indentations for the cigarettes.

That was my thought too. Dogs on glass ashtrays seem to be quite common - and I'm not talking about Murano glass particularly. And ashtrays don't always have indentations
