I had an exchange of e-mails with Aldo at the Venice gallery over my Poli hippo and he was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Cannot speak highly enough and as you will see from the website some really fabulous glass. Top notch and 10/10.

Hi Marcus,
I have seen the site before, and a few years ago I submitted some labels for their "historical documents" section. The Barbini label on tehre is from 1 of my pieces :). I do have to say that Aldo was very helpful to me when I first contacted them for information on items, but this past year I wasnt so lucky. I sent in some photos and I got a reply (I dont think it was from Aldo by the way, but another person) saying that they would not tell me anything about any piece because they charged a fee for help on attributing a piece to a maker. Maybe worded a little different, but I was so surprised to hear that after I had emails back and forth from Aldo himself going about 2 years back, and had even contributed to the site. I am not sure if that was a new policy or what, but it took me by surprise.
