Familiar shank... (?? Ray ???)
« on: May 25, 2007, 02:39:35 PM »
Just came across these http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330124520236

they reminded me of something that got posted here, without brasswork, before and no one could decide what they were. Cannot find it now.

The eBay item has Murano canes, probably Fratelli Toso, likely 1920s/30s.

Perhaps yours was intended to be a drawer knob after all! The backend is then a functional part, strange that we expect a weight know to be fixed to a metal shank.
