Here are a couple of links to some information on Lobmeyr.http://www.lobmeyrusa.com/history.htmlhttp://www.luzicke-hory.cz/historie/index.php?pg=clskloe
I met Peter Rath a few times in the Eighties and he is very approachable and very knowledgeable, so in the absence of any definitive knowledge it might be worth trying to contact him.
Lobmeyr is an extraordinary company and I think that I am correct in saying that it is one of the oldest decorative glass enterprises in the world still owned by members of the founding family. My limited knowledge precludes me from categorically stating the it is the
oldest, but I should be very interested to learn if anyone knows of anything older.
Please note that I use the term enterprise, because Lobmeyr began as a glass shop (retailer) founded in 1823 and it was only after WWI that it began manufacturing in its own factory. However, it has also been a retailer throughout its history. So it is very possible that when the original dealer said that it was Lobmeyr, he meant that it was originally sold by Lobmeyr, and it is quite conceivable that it was manufactured by one of the two factories mentioned by Steven.
