Help ID Vaseline Glass please
« on: August 11, 2008, 07:38:39 PM »
Help please to ID this vaseline glass, height 6.75" or 16.5cm, seems to be of quite nice quality, my only thoughts would be German or Bohemian 1930's or 40's but that only a guess , I bought 3 of them in a charity shop although they broke one when packing, I do not think there any thing special but I just liked the look of them , thanks for any help

Hello Roy!
Your thoughts about the provenance seem possible to me,
but I think they should be dated twenty+ years earlier.
1900/1910
Not too much help, I´m afraid...

Dirk

I have one similar which I had also dated to the 30's so this is most interesting. The bowl on mine is clear. Please confirm that what looks like threading is actually part of a moulded stem. Thanks Ed.

Thanks Dirk I be happy to believe a little older than I might have thought and Ed I am not sure but the threaded stem does not look moulded to me
