All I can say is, most definitely not Riihimaen. I have also seen one labelled with "Old Colony, Japan" but have be unable to find out any more information.  :cry:

Thanks, Della, I was starting to think I'd gone bonkers. :chky: Ivo, I hope I didn't sound disrespectful!

I've been noting pieces with Japanese labels on Australian eBay for a while. There are some fairly nice pieces, particularly sold under the label 'Hineri'. It might be an area of collection in the future, perhaps?

just to complicate i always assumed that the more deeply dimpled/ angular were nanny still while the one shown in this string is ...german - ingridglass.
