Swan with Scandia label
« on: September 08, 2008, 04:42:34 PM »
Got this yesterday also.  The label is Scandia Handcraft Glass.  Any information on that company?  It's 6 1/4" tall.   The bottom has a small indentation and a broken pontil.

Frank, I'm sending you enlargements for the zoo.  Thank you for looking.

A quick google turned up this:
Scandia Glass Works, 3025 Piedmont Rd., Kenava, WV, United States
in a business directory last updated: 08-JUL-08

I believe it's an area where a number of US decorative glass companies have been concentrated (Blenko, Pilgrim etc).

Here's an item with the same label

That's a new one to me!  We have a member that is on the board at the West Virginia Museum of Glass, I bet he's heard of it!  I didn't find that company when I searched for it!!  Thank you very much!   :hiclp:
