Author Topic: Ruby pear paperweight. "Czech poss Beranek". Anyone know the maker/ designer?  (Read 541 times)

This was in a sale attributed as "Czech poss Beranek".  No idea what to make of it, or who made the attribution.  There is a similar shape of paperweight (good grief, it's a pear!) in the Beranek catalogue, but it's stripy and the leaf is twisted. 

This one only cost a quid, so I shan't lose out.

It's  14 cm /5.5" tall to the top of the leaf.  Nicely made.  Polished, fllat ground base.  Good quality glass, free from bubbles and inclusions.

The leaf is quite distinctive and I hope that might help identify it.
