Hi Pat i had and sold one about ten years ago ,the shade it had was like the bottom half of a cone it was a light ruby colour satin pleated all  the way round, gold braid round the top and bottom and gold tassels hanging of the bottom all the way round, the shade looked as old as the lamp so i believe it was original,it looked fantastic ,you do see them now and again in junk shops or antique centres .JP  Small ones were often used on tables in Italian restaurants .

thanks Pat,

I have same problem with my dolphin lamp,
being colour blind picking a shade on my own is out of the question.

I think what threw me was the furrowed channel on the base,

I would expect it to be underneath, why is it on the top?
I would love to know     :-*

It is underneath just a photographic optical illusion.
No retreat, No surrender.
