Forgetting the signature for a moment, I have to say this doesn't look Murano to me, and the signature seems to back this up.

I do feel a little shame-faced saying this...but I thought the signature looked a little like a postcode....

The first word does look a little like Milk! Milk Tray? :D

But I have seen similar items with the spaced out millefiori listed on eBay with generic 'Murano' stickers, but did wonder if they were imports? Alternatively perhaps it's a Studio Art piece.

Hello David 555,
Never seen the signature either on a Murano piece. Sorry :(
I would agree with DenCill, that it is most likely a studio glass piece.

Well, I've seen vases like these actually being made in Murano!

In fact, I've got a video of someone actually making one

Hi Leni,
It might just be! Just havent seen any signatures like it on newer Murano pieces, or older pieces. I agree the style is similar to the new pieces being made. Might mean a good research project for David55 :)

I think that this is definitely Murano, without a doubt.  The glassworks 3 Fiori made some similar vases a few years ago.  I recognise the millefiori canes from their paperweights.  Those oval labels - often silver - seem to be used on items for export.  It may therefore just be the stock number.
