Topic: FM Ronneby.... Horned Beasts

Picked up these beasties today, but I can't decide whether they're a couple of old goats... with stylised elongated necks, or a pair of reindeer... with stylised antlers. I've spent the day calling them 'reingoats'.

I've checked one of my FM catalogues and they are " stenbock "

and the English word, according to my dictionary, is ibex (a wild goat)

Thanks for that, Ingela. I just did a quick search for 'ibex' and they definitely got the horns right!

Do you know who designed them or roughly when they were available from? Mine are sizes 160 and 220, by the way. Would there have been a larger/smaller size to make up a 'family' of them?

My 'stenbock' is signed: FM Ronneby Sweden G7 - 220
The inscription indicates the size 220mm but mine is in fact 235mm.

I don't know who designed them, I've yet to find out who "G" is.

They have been available in different sizes over the years:
160, 220, 250 and 280mm.

The label " Handiwork FM Konstglas Ronneby Sweden " would date
the 'stenbock' to approx. early/mid 1970's.
