Need help with St. Clair Paperweight Mark
« on: July 12, 2004, 06:10:44 PM »
My MIL gave me a blue carnival glass paperweight that has a label that reads Handmade St. Clair Elwood Ind.  I thought that all St. Clair was marked St. Clair in some way or another.  Any thoughts you can give me on this is appreciated.  Thanks

There is a range of Carnival and other glass made by St Clair - and it carries a variety of marks. Joe St Clair as well as Bob & Maude St Clair produced glass. Today, Joe and Merilee Rice run the House of Glass in Elwood (Joe is the nephew of Joe and Bob St Clair). They also make paperweights along with other glass items. Your paperweight sounds like a good one  :D
