"Roman vase !!" needing ID

Any ideas about this odd little gem ?

It is a dirty ultramine colour, roughly blown with unground pontil, unfinished neck and numerous faults. It stands 110mm tall with diameter of 46mm at the bulb.

Purchased at auction as a 'Roman vase' but obviously not, can you help ??

The bright colour, the air bubbles trapped and the rough pontil mark reminds me of Mexican glass.   :?

Ray, was I completely wrong with Mexican glass?  I have a piece here that I've always called that - have I been wrong all this time?  lol It won't be the first time.   :D

Mucho gracias for the advice gentlemen, nice to have some ideas about its true origin. It was at a small local auction where they tend to exaggerate a little sometimes and it only cost £1 anyway so I don't feel the need to ask for a refund, and even though it has no great value I still like its quirky look so will keep it for now. Mañana !
