It looks like Bacchus to me, but I'll leave that to the pros.  Too bad it's so cracked, but you seem to have very good searching skills.

I've read another of you posts and have the same geographic challenge: I live in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  I love it here and wouldn't live anywhere else, but paperweight finds don't exist in our Southwestern-styled world!

That's a shame about the crack.

I live in Southern California. There is one paperweight shop about 20 miles from me. They sell some of the finer American makers but nothing from UK or Europe. I have to go online to find the nice stuff. I have made a nice little collection of French sulphides and an even larger collection of Scottish weights.

I don't feel bad about there being nothing near me.

This is certainly an Old English weight, but my money would be on Richardson rather than Bacchus. There appear to be several canes that are used in Richardson weights, but non that look uniquely Bacchus to me. The centre cane is very solid and coarse if it is Bacchus - it looks like Richardson again. If anyone can measure the specific gravity of it I'll tell you for sure which it is!

Richardsons seems like a good possibility from the photo.
I might try for this one if it doesn't get too steep so I can study the canes,
I have a nice collection of cracked OE's for study already

Such a shame it is cracked, from the reflections it looks like it's cracked horisontally as well.
