I doubt anyone will get their hands on 'The Price of Oil' as it's in a collection that is unlikely ever to be broken up because of the way it has been formed, and it's role within museums. Wonderful thing to hold though ;) 8)

Unfortunately, us mere mortals are only ever likely to be able to own a piece of Peter's earlier work which was produced as 'bread and butter' by him. The commission pieces are really special, and a tad pricey if they ever come to the market!!

And there was me, being kind and resisting rubbing that in, Nigel!
It is always a huge consolation.  ;D
It came out nicely in the 2012 calendar, didn't it?

The Pice you are referring to is a closed neck form in to tone colourer and was made in my studio in Fulham and is singed Barry Cullen and has a stock number after 1983 and a galley piece not for the market stall at Covent Garden
this is simpler then the price of oil I was doing a series of closed neck forms to do with optics and colour
it nice to see it again thank you

Hello, and a huge welcome indeed, Barry!  :)

Thank-you so much for commenting and the extra information..

And thank you so much, for your part in "The Price of Oil".  It is a treasure which really should belong to the whole world.

(much as though I lust after being it's custodian for just a little while.... ::)  )
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)
