« on: May 08, 2010, 10:08:25 PM »
Hi there, here is another piece i have that i would love some info on. I haven't found this exact one with these colours but plenty like it. There are so many different makers of these clowns that i don't know where to start. Any help is much appreciated.

This one looks very typical Chinese production, 1970s to present. hard to date more precisely as they are still being made (I recently saw similar clowns in TK Maxx with 'Made in China' stickers).

There are some Murano clowns with bowties at http://www.muranoclowns.co.uk/gallery_3_5.html. There is no company name for these tourist clowns, unfortunately. They may fall into the generic category. Your clown reminds me of a couple of them. I know nada about clowns beyond what is at the Murano Clowns site.
