Two questions here

Dolphin double salt
http://tinypic.com/bjhlvl.jpg
The bowls in the shape of shells, the handle in the shape of two dolphins. 4 1/2" in length, 3 1/2"high. The colour has the slightest amethyst tinge - looks as if it has been standing in the sun for a very long time. No markings, no apparent wear either - but that does not mean much. Somehow it works English - but maybe I'm confused by the sowerby dolphin?

and
pressed duck ("Duck Magnum, Duck")
http://tinypic.com/bjhlyq.jpg
3 1/2"high, standing om a plinth of 2"diameter - so rather large in comparison. Is it a radiator cap or an ornament from a bowl?

All clues, hints & stabs for either of these are welcome.

Hi Ivo
The groove in the base points to it being a car mascot, and very nice it is.

  not quite true, Max - you happen to be one of my favourite sources for unsuspected & useful information

I've sent the radiator cappie an e-mail - I'm sure he can tell if it is one at the drop of a driving cap. Will let you know how it ended  :D

....and he came promptly back to me with the following message:

If the glass base is also part of the bird then I expect it could be used as a car mascot, however sorry, I have no information regarding the item

Which is nice enough - but inconclusive.

Sorry Max but it's not often I'm able to contribute on anything but Murano. Anyway I think Ivo has great potential with the Duck and Dolphin as a pub name.
