I think I'm right in saying that the shape/design may be dated from that period, but they could have been made more recently.

Could you tell me a bit more please?  Do you mean that the work could have been done by someone else to Olle Alberius design?  How much more recently do you think?

Thanks :)

I meant that the shape/design could date to a period in the past, but the production might be recent.  In other words, they could still be producing today what was designed thirty years ago.   :) :)

Thanks for that Max :)

I suppose they could, but I have looked through whatever catalogues I can find online, and the only animals I am able to find look very different designs.  There doesn't seem to be a great deal available on the web about them though, just tantalising hints here and there.  That is most probably a lack in my search skills though rather than a lack of information!

Interesting, although not really that much use to you either.  I was looking for information on the type of sticker you had.   :-\

Thanks Max, that was interesting.  So that narrows it down to between 1960 and 2000  ;D :P

As Bill Geary hasn't had a punt at whether your items could be new production or not, then I don't think anyone else here will know either, as Bill knows a lot about Orrefors.  He wrote 'Creative Energies', a book covering Scandinavian glass:

Here are the photos of the rhino as promised - sorry I know they are really bad.  I must get some practice in with this new camera and get an area set up for photography.....one day.....
