Unfinished paper Weight ?
« on: December 09, 2008, 12:33:09 PM »
Hi All
I am hoping some one can tell me if this is a unfinshed paper Weiht or if this is the finshed product?.
It is a 6 window Facet weight heugt is1.5" width is 3" and it weighs 463g, could this be Whitefriars/ caithness weight ? as anyone came across these before, please the colour is Kingfishe Blue, and as the ground out polished pontil.

Wonder if it was a practice piece as to why there are no incerts to the weight, thank you in advance

Isn't there some debate about whether these actually are Webb Corbett or Bohemian? Royal Doulton bought Webb Corbett in 1969 though. Scroll down http://www.great-glass.co.uk/glass%20notes/manw-z.htm

Christine, I guess Janette could be right then too, if they are Webb Corbett.  :)  I've always thought this style is (heck, I sold mine as Webb Corbett!) but I guess that's only through people saying that here and on the internet, so it's not set in stone as far as I know.  Maybe KevH can throw some light on it?

I fished around in Search, found my old thread (2005!!) and this link was on there from 'Jenny' in Australia.

Looks like Webb Corbett then, certainly for yours. My thought was just a vague recollection of a thread, but perhaps not on here
