Monart, Vasart, Nazeing Vase?
« on: January 17, 2009, 03:08:04 PM »
I bought this vase today, and I "think" it may be Vasart, but it is not signed on the base.

The base has a lovely round ground pontil mark and there is a step down from the foot to the base towards the pontil, and alot of wear around the outer rim of the foot.

Many thanks
Barbara

Hi Johnphillip,

Monart, Vasart etc are a minefield and I usually stear well clear, but I liked the colours of this one,and it wasn't so expensive that if it is a nothing thing it would be a big disaster.

It would be lovely if it was Monart though.

It's Monart, Barbara. Check Frank's site for the shape code.

Hi Nigel,

Thanks so much for ID'ing the vase. I had a quick look when Sue C put the link up, but couldn't find it, so will have a better look tomorrow.

Car all better now and hope the packets have arrived OK.
