Green Footed Bowl - help to identify, please?
« on: September 11, 2005, 05:57:44 PM »
My latest car boot sale purchase from this morning is a wonderful footed green glass bowl with knop in stem - think that is the correct terminology.
It feels as though it is an old piece of glass and has a beautiful clear ringing tone when gently tapped.
It is 5.75 inches tall and 6.25 inches top diameter and is quite heavy (850g). There are no distinguishing marks which I can see.

When you hold it up, you see the "layered" effect of old glass and it sounds as clear as a bell that it really is something special, whatever it is . I just love it and it sits opposite my chair in my line of vision. It's got me hooked!!!

Thanks in anticipation
John
