MY FIRST PAPER WEIGHT I HAVE NO IDEA ITS GORGEOUS

Hi All
I was browsing in an antique shop today and saw this paperweight i was attracted immediatly i paid 35 dollars for it and was wondering if anyone can give some clues as to origin please

I'm inclined to agree, especially if the bottom is matte rather than shiny, as it appears to be.

Thankyou for your advise. i took some pics of the base to see if it clarifys it mush better the green is suspended in the clear glass. hope these help a little

That Caithness design was a limited edition, so if yours is it would be marked Caithness and numbered. The Colin Terris design looks to be three large bubbles over a bed of bubbles, not a coloured layer. I think I'm right in saying that all Caithness is marked, even seconds (CIIG).

The clincher of yours is the base. It isn't shiny and polished is it? A matte base is often an indicator of Chinese glass.

I've a mtaching one in green and also blue.  I'd say chinese for sure (but I like them!)
