Diameter 5¾" / 14.7cm, weight 13¼oz / 380g.   Made of a homogenous rich ruby glass, the bowl was lightly optic moulded using a 16-rib dip mould.   The pontil scar was ground out and polished with minimal effort, as it's off-centre and a slightly irregular oval.

Identified by Leni on Isit Whitefriars? as a Whitefriars 9273 Sweet Dish, an early example shown in the 1949 catalogue as this 5¾" size, later catalogues showing it slightly smaller.   Launched 1946 cat.   Ruby only.
