Sowerby "Rose Lady" centrepiece figurine

(1/1)

Bernard C:
Has any documentation emerged on the Sowerby "Rose Lady" centrepiece figurine?   This is the diaphanously clad and extremely vulnerable figurine, incorporating a gadrooned flower block with a single ring of 8 holes, carrying two boldly modelled roses above her head, the roses matching those in the flared plinthless version of the 2565 floating bowl, in which, in my experience, she is invariably found.

It seems reasonable to conclude that she was replaced by the Sowerby log or tree stump lady in the plinthed cupped 2565 floating bowl for the Cadbury deal.   See Cottle pp.38–9.
