Is this bowl by Barovier & Toso?
« on: September 19, 2005, 01:54:36 PM »
Hi,

I have just re-found this bowl, it was in a safe place (under the stairs  !) and wonder if any one can help me say who made it.

It has a label on the bottom

Has three lion maks around the outside, very much like Salviatti

And has gold adventurine in the clear glass rim, frills and masks.

It looks like it might be by Barovier & Toso, but also has other makers thrown in such as Archimede Seguso, so I am at a bit of a loss.

I also don't know if I really like it either, but thats another problem!

Hi Barbara
Very difficult to be totally sure but I would say around 80% certain that it's Seguso and the red label also points towards this. I would say very unlikely to be Barovier Toso, but an outside chance on Salviati, but Seguso the red hot favourite.
Don't like it, love it and it will glow back to you.

Any one know why I cannot see the images? It says they have been moved?

That's what happens when people use tinypic for picture hosting. It eats them.
