There are currently two Brockwitz bowls with fish handles on ebay and one weighs 1700g (clear glass) and the other weighs 2200g (pink glass).

I have a clear one that weighs 2,100g. :?

Quite considerable variation in weight is normal for hand pressed ware.  I couldn't put a percentage figure on it, but this difference seems too high.

IF they were made from the same mould set (were they?) then one explanation could be that the pink composition is denser than the colourless one.  Pink is normally fairly complex (at least mine were!) and therefore this is a distinct possibility.

Adam and I had a discussion regarding the weight of Sowerby's Diving Dolphins bowls  - the unusual shapes vary rather a lot in weight.

My pink Brockwitz Fish bowl weighs 2060 grams.
