I don't know much about Sandro Frattin except what I have been able to gather online. He opened a glass company, TFZ, in 1980. He does many sculptures and vases with applied glass. He is quite talented in making eye-appealing glass.

Hi,
TFZ produces nice, but pretty "commercial" glassworks.
As often in Murano there are a pretty good technical skills, but a poor talent to create new items and styles (exactely the opposite of what is happening in USA).
So the TFZ glassworks are the usual Murano items: acquariums, heavy glass fish and animals and "picasso spirit" sculptures. They have a wide distribution in the Venetian shops and in the Murano "trap" factories/showrooms.
Up to a pairs of years agoo there where located close the "iron bridge".

Sincerely

Alex

Thanks for adding this, Alex. Your thoughts are the same as mine, but I did not know enough about TFZ to critique them well. I do like their vases. I noticed a couple are like decorated Moretti designs.
