Thank you guys. .. for ALL your help.

I really don't mind if this is a copy or not, I bought it because i fell in love with it.  I wouldn't really dream of assuming it was an original and would definately get it checked properly at some point.  Do you know any specialists that deal in this artist's work?
I don't know if this is signed or not as I wouldn't know where to look or what the signature would look like.  There are no apparent markings that I can see with a quick check.  The lamp also has sustained some damage in the past and the largest shade has a couple of 'frills' broken. this isn't noticable when it's on as you can turn this side to the wall.  I will post a few more pictures soon for those of you interested.

Thanks again & all the best

Hello,

thanks for the extra pictures !

When I look at these more detailed pictures, your lamp does indeed look quite recent to me.

The lampshade support and the socket are definitely recent, the "CE" label on the support is only being used since about 20 years ago.  That label is applied on electrical appliances when they are imported from outside the european union.

The CE marking (also known as CE mark) is a mandatory conformity mark on many products placed on the single market in the European Economic Area (EEA). The CE marking certifies that a product has met EU consumer safety, health or environmental requirements. It therefore covers items made within the EU as well as imports.

I can't add anything, but I'd happily give them house room.
I think the reproductions can be very attractive. They give you the look and ambiance without the horrendous expense and being terrified of using them properly.
And I like mushrooms. Especially glass ones.  ;D
